Why paraglide in Gudauri?

Gudauri lies at 2,200 m on the Georgian Military Highway, the historic mountain road through the Caucasus. We fly from two launch zones above the resort, so your flight starts high above the valleys.

Gudauri also has two seasons, so you can fly all year: over snowy ski slopes in winter and green alpine valleys in summer.

Do you need any experience?

No. Every flight is a tandem flight: you fly together with a certified pilot who takes care of the takeoff, the flight and the landing. No training is required.

Your part is small. At takeoff you walk or run a few meters with your pilot, and you're in the air. You launch from the ground, so there's no jumping from any height. When it's time to land, you lift your legs high so they don't touch the ground. That's it.

Flights and prices

There are three tandem flights to choose from. Every package includes a certified pilot, full safety gear, insurance and a video of your flight.

• Standard Flight, 350 GEL: a 10–15 minute flight with views over Gudauri. The perfect introduction to paragliding.
• Comfort Plus, 400 GEL: a 10–15 minute flight on a reinforced tandem wing, for passengers between 95 and 130 kg.
• Long Flight / Acro Flight, 500 GEL: 25–30 minutes, soaring higher with Mount Kazbek panoramas, plus optional spirals and wingovers for an extra adrenaline rush.

Winter or summer?

Winter (December–April): you glide over the powder-white slopes of the ski resort in calm, clear air, with skiers far below your feet. We provide warm flight suits and gloves.

Summer (May–November): warm thermals carry longer, higher flights over green valleys and wildflower meadows, with views of Mount Kazbek, the Cross Pass and the winding Georgian Military Highway.

Both seasons are beautiful, so pick the one that fits your trip: snowy peaks or green summer valleys.

How your flight works, step by step

1. Book your date. Choose a date and package online. We'll confirm within a few hours and agree the exact time with you based on the weather.
2. Gear up. You get a helmet, a jacket and glasses. In winter you also get a warm flight suit and gloves.
3. Take off. Together with your pilot you walk or run a few meters, and you're flying.
4. Fly. Enjoy 10–15 minutes in the air, or 25–30 minutes on a long flight. Your pilot does all the flying.
5. Land. Lift your legs high as you come in, so they don't touch the ground.
6. Relive it. Your whole flight is filmed, so you can watch it again and share it.

What to wear

Dress for the season and wear hiking (trekking) shoes. We provide all the flying gear: a helmet, a jacket and glasses for every passenger, plus a warm flight suit and gloves in winter.

What about the weather?

Paragliding depends on the weather, and we only fly when conditions are suitable. That's why, once you've booked, we confirm the exact flight time with you based on the weather on the day.

Getting to Gudauri
